Where am I?

Prairie View Invitational Music Festival

Prairie View Invitational Music Festival.

March 07, 2017

On Saturday March 4, the Middle School Choir traveled to LaCygne for the Prairie View Invitational Music Festival.

14 students prepared a solo to be performed in front of a judge.  The judge evaluates the performance and assigns a rating.  Each participant received a comment sheet from the judge, a certificate and a ribbon that corresponded to the rating they received.

Additionally, the Concert and Select choirs attended as a large ensemble.  This is the Tenth year that Spring Hill has participated as a choir and the fourth  year we have entered two separate choirs.  We have been very busy working towards this event for the last two months.

Spring Hill was represented well by our students.  Choir members that participated with a solo are:

Trinity Heizer, Grant Hurley, Nevaeh Koch, Jourdyn Nickel, Emily Noll, Christian Reynolds, Connor Salge, Layla Smith, Kayla Strausbaugh, Nick Summers, and Mason Weakly.    Eight of these brought home a superior (I) rating seven brought home an excellent (II) rating.  The Concert choir received an Excellent (II+) rating and the Select choir received a superior (I) rating for their performance on Saturday.

Mr. Scroggins is very proud of everyone who went.  Each one worked hard and gave the best performance they had ever given.  Congratulations to everyone!  Good job Maverick choirs!
