Student Achievements
Spring Hill School District students continue to exhibit academic achievement and growth in all curricular areas. Some highlights include:
- All schools and the district as a whole achieved Adequate Yearly Progress, as defined by the State of Kansas, for the seventh consecutive year.
- The district’s schools earned more than 20 Standards of Excellence.
- On the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests given in the Fall 2009, students scored well above national averages in reading and math.
Each student’s success is important to district staff and high standards of achievement are in place for all students. To achieve the goal of continued growth for students, district administrators and teachers regularly examine practices, policies and procedures and their impact on student learning. In addition, practices in place to assist students who are not learning and students who must be challenged to learn more are evaluated.
